- Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,
extol him who rides on the clouds;
rejoice before him—his name is the Lord.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling. - Since you are my rock and my fortress,
for the sake of your name lead and guide me. - In that day you will say:
“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done,
and proclaim that his name is exalted.” - I will exalt you, my God the King;
I will praise your name for ever and ever. - Not to us, Lord, not to us
but to your name be the glory,
because of your love and faithfulness. - The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name.
- Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws,
we wait for you;
your name and renown
are the desire of our hearts. - All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
- And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
- Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
- Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. - Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
- Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done. - She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.
- But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.
- Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
- I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Sovereign Lord, when I am proved holy through you before their eyes.
- Teach me your way, Lord,
that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name. - A good name is more desirable than great riches;
to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. - Blessed are you when people hate you,
when they exclude you and insult you
and reject your name as evil,
because of the Son of Man. - He builds his lofty palace in the heavens
and sets its foundation on the earth;
he calls for the waters of the sea
and pours them out over the face of the land—
the Lord is his name. - But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
- This, then, is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.’ - Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done wonderful things,
things planned long ago.
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to blot out their name from the earth.How great you are, Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.
