- Whoever believes in him is not condemned,
but whoever does not believe in him
already stands condemned,
because he has not believed in the name
of the only-begotten Son of God. - And you will say on that day:
Give thanks to the Lord,
invoke his name;
make known his deeds among the nations;
proclaim that his name is exalted. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name give glory
because of your kindness and faithfulness. - I will extol you, my God and King;
I will bless your name forever and ever. - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- Therefore, prepare your minds for action. Be calm and fix your hopes completely on the grace that you will be granted at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
- I will rejoice and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. - However, if we live in the light
as he himself is in the light,
then we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus his Son
purifies us from all sin. - The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus.”
- Let your attitude be identical to that of Christ Jesus.
- The Lord will become king over the whole earth. When that day comes, he will be the only Lord, and his name will be the only name.
- As we proceed in the path of your judgments,
we wait for you, O Lord;
your name and your renown
are all that our heart desires. - To him all the Prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him will receive forgiveness of sins through his name.
- Whatever you ask in my name I will do,
so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. - Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the world.
- However, to those who did accept him
and who believed in his name
he granted the power to become children of God. - This water prefigured Baptism, which now saves you. It does so not by the washing away of dirt from the body but by the pledge of a good conscience given to God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- The birth of Jesus Christ occurred in this way. When his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they came to live together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
- For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in their midst.
- And now, what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.
- Then Job arose, tore his cloak, and shaved his head. He threw himself prostrate on the ground and said:
“Naked I emerged from my mother’s womb,
and naked I will return.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
blessed be the name of the Lord.” - Jesus replied,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
everyone who sins
is a slave of sin.” - Anyone who is victorious will be dressed like these in white robes, and I shall not blot his name from the book of life. Rather, I shall acknowledge it in the presence of my Father and his angels.
- Give thanks to the Lord, invoke his name;
proclaim his deeds among the peoples.
Those who revere your name place their trust in you,
for you never abandon those who seek you, O Lord.When you pray do not go on babbling endlessly as the pagans do, for they believe that they are more likely to be heard because of their many words. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in uprightness, so that the man of God may be proficient and equipped for good work of every kind.Next verse!With image
