- Ah, Lord God, you made the heavens and the earth by your great power and your outstretched arm. Nothing is impossible for you.
- Whom do I have in heaven except you?
And besides you there is nothing else I desire on earth. - If I give away everything to feed the poor
and hand over my body to be burned,
but do not have love,
I achieve nothing. - For I resolved that, while I was with you, I would know nothing except Jesus Christ—and him crucified.
- Through him all things came into existence,
and without him there was nothing.
That which came to be. - If I have the gift of prophecy
and the ability to understand all mysteries and all knowledge,
and have all the faith necessary to move mountains,
but do not have love,
I am nothing. - Just as he came forth naked from his mother’s womb,
so shall he depart, naked as he came,
with nothing remaining from his labor
that he can carry away in his hands. - God chose those in the world who were lowly and despised, those who count for nothing, to reduce to nothing those who were regarded as worthy, so that no one could boast in the presence of God.
- Until now, in my name,
you have not asked for anything.
Ask and you will receive,
so that your joy may be complete. - Treasures obtained by wicked means profit nothing,
but a righteous life brings delivery from death. - Filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the desert for forty days, where he was tempted by the devil. During that time he ate nothing, and at the end of it he was famished.

- The hope of the righteous brings them joy,
but the expectations of the wicked are frustrated. - But I have had help from God to this very day, and I stand here and testify to both the lowly and the great. there is nothing I shall lack.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me to tranquil streams. - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” - The blessing of the Lord is what brings wealth,
and our toil adds nothing to it. - Nothing gives me greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

that he does nothing but good and never sins. - When things are going well, be grateful for your blessings,
and in times of adversity consider this:
God has made both of them,
so that we cannot predict with confidence
what the future holds. - I did not hesitate to tell you what was for your benefit as I proclaimed the word to you and taught you publicly as well as from house to house.
