Bible Verses about 'Now'

  • Now a mediator is helpful if more than one party must reach an agreement. But God, who is one, did not use a mediator when he gave his promise to Abraham.
  • But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.
  • For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!
  • Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good?
  • God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him.
  • If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!
  • That is why the Lord says,
“Turn to me now, while there is time.
    Give me your hearts.
Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning.”
  • But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life.
  • For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
  • Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen.
  • Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.
  • What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord.
  • And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame.
  • Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.
  • Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.
  • Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me.
  • Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
  • You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.
  • Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.
  • Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father.
  • “Come now, let’s settle this,”
    says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
I will make them as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson,
I will make them as white as wool.”
  • So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
  • And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
  • My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
  • But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises.

Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.

Bible verse of the day

This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
