- He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved:
for thou art my praise. - And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
- For who is God save the Lord?
or who is a rock save our God? - But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
- Deliver my soul, O Lord,
from lying lips,
and from a deceitful tongue. - When I said, My foot slippeth;
thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. - For who is God, save the Lord?
and who is a rock, save our God? - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
- O Lord, thou art my God;
I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name;
for thou hast done wonderful things;
thy counsels of old
are faithfulness and truth. - Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
- Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
according as we hope in thee. - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me;
my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. - Bless the Lord, O my soul:
and all that is within me, bless his holy name. - O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
- I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
my God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. - For with God nothing shall be impossible.
- Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice:
let thine ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications. - For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
- For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. - Thou, O Lord, remainest for ever;
thy throne from generation to generation. - My soul, wait thou only upon God;
for my expectation is from him. - And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
- Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy:
for thou renderest to every man
according to his work.
Teach me thy way, O Lord;
I will walk in thy truth:
unite my heart to fear thy name.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
