- For the Lord delights in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory. - I thirst for God, the living God.
When can I go and stand before him? - Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens.
May your glory shine over all the earth. - Joyful are those who obey his laws
and search for him with all their hearts. - In my distress I prayed to the Lord,
and the Lord answered me and set me free. - The Lord gives his people strength.
The Lord blesses them with peace. - When I refused to confess my sin,
my body wasted away,
and I groaned all day long. - Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. - The Lord is close to all who call on him,
yes, to all who call on him in truth. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will never be shaken. - Such people will not be overcome by evil.
Those who are righteous will be long remembered. - Praise the Lord; praise God our savior!
For each day he carries us in his arms. - Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! - The teaching of your word gives light,
so even the simple can understand. - The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. - I will be filled with joy because of you.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. - Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!
No one can measure his greatness. - In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe. - I will shout for joy and sing your praises,
for you have ransomed me. - Whom have I in heaven but you?
I desire you more than anything on earth. - But you, O Lord, are a shield around me;
you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. - As I learn your righteous regulations,
I will thank you by living as I should! - He has removed our sins as far from us
as the east is from the west. - I lift my hands to you in prayer.
I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain. - For you bless the godly, O Lord;
you surround them with your shield of love.
When God saw what they had done and how they had put a stop to their evil ways, he changed his mind and did not carry out the destruction he had threatened. But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”Next verse!With image
