- When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

Do not forget the helpless. - You are my refuge and my shield;
I have put my hope in your word. - Turn my heart toward your statutes
and not toward selfish gain. - I desire to do your will, my God;
your law is within my heart. - God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble. - Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord. - For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God? - I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope. - May God bless us still,
so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. - It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in humans. - The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you. - Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely. - The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all he does. - From the Lord comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people. - Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the Lord. - You, Lord, keep my lamp burning;
my God turns my darkness into light. - Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. - Let your face shine on your servant;
save me in your unfailing love. - When I said, “My foot is slipping,”

so my soul pants for you, my God. - The Lord makes firm the steps
of the one who delights in him. - May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed. - I rejoice in following your statutes

your consolation brought me joy. - Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me. - I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears. - Blessed is the one
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered. - I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
