Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Patience'
- But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
- Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
- Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
- Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
- But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.
- May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had.
- Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
- But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
- Whoever is patient has great understanding,
but one who is quick-tempered displays folly. - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
- Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
- But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
- Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
- Better a patient person than a warrior,
one with self-control than one who takes a city. - Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes. - Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord. - Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
- The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
- For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
- The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
- For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning. - You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
- In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly. - May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
- Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.Next verse!With image
