Bible Verses about 'Patient'

Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer.Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.
The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some think of slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful.Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.
One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and one whose temper is controlled than one who captures a city.He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him; do not fret over those who prosper in their way, over those who carry out evil devices.Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but one who has a hasty temper exalts folly. He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love. With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.
May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
For you need endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
For this very reason, you must make every effort to support your faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
Proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage, with the utmost patience in teaching.Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, so that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven.Next verse! With image
