Bible Verses about 'Possess'

  • You shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.
  • In that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.
  • As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
  • He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
  • And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”
  • Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
  • For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God.
  • Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.
  • Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.
  • “They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts,
“On the day that I make them My jewels.
    And I will spare them
As a man spares his own son who serves him.”
  • Honor the Lord with your possessions,
And with the firstfruits of all your increase.
  • And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
  • As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God.
  • Better is a little with the fear of the Lord,
    Than great treasure with trouble.
  • But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
  • For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword,
    Nor did their own arm save them;
But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance,
    Because You favored them.
  • A little that a righteous man has
Is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
But the Lord upholds the righteous.
  • But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
  • Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
  • How they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.
  • Wisdom is the principal thing;
    Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding.
  • Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
  • And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
  • For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
  • And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

Who is a God like You,
Pardoning iniquity
And passing over the transgression
of the remnant of His heritage?
He does not retain His anger forever,
Because He delights in mercy.
