Bible Verses about 'Possess'

  • You must follow exactly the path that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you are to possess.
  • If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I am commanding you today, by loving the Lord your God, walking in his ways, and observing his commandments, decrees, and ordinances, then you shall live and become numerous, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.
  • As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
  • Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
  • And he said to them, “Take care! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; for one's life does not consist in the abundance of possessions.”
  • Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”
  • Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common.

  • For not by their own sword did they win the land,
    nor did their own arm give them victory;
    but your right hand, and your arm,
    and the light of your countenance,
    for you delighted in them.
  • He it is who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.
  • Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity
    and passing over the transgression
    of the remnant of your possession?
    He does not retain his anger forever,
    because he delights in showing clemency.
  • For they said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, indulging their own ungodly lusts.” It is these worldly people, devoid of the Spirit, who are causing divisions.
