| Hence, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. | There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. | Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he protects the souls of his faithful ones and rescues them from the hand of the wicked. | You who love Yahweh, hate evil! He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. |

| The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. | The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. |
| Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. | For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. |
| By his own choice he gave us birth through the way of truth so that we may be a kind of firstfruits of all his creation. | Of his own will he gave birth to us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures. |

| For he guards the paths of justice and keeps watch over the way of his faithful ones. | That he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints. |
| However, you, dear friends, must build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God as you await our Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy, who will grant you eternal life. | But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. |
| I am confident that I will behold the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. | I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. |
| Make every possible effort to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. | Being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. |
