Bible Verses about 'Proclaim'

  • Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.
Let the whole world know what he has done.
  • The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,
    that the blind will see,
that the oppressed will be set free.
  • The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,
for the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted
and to proclaim that captives will be released
    and prisoners will be freed.
  • In that wonderful day you will sing:
“Thank the Lord! Praise his name!
Tell the nations what he has done.
Let them know how mighty he is!”
  • The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
    The skies display his craftsmanship.
    Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make him known.
  • And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.”
  • But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
  • Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is made right in God’s sight—something the law of Moses could never do.
  • From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”
  • How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of the messenger who brings good news,
the good news of peace and salvation,
the news that the God of Israel reigns!
  • This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.
  • But God has protected me right up to this present time so I can testify to everyone, from the least to the greatest. I teach nothing except what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and be the first to rise from the dead, and in this way announce God’s light to Jews and Gentiles alike.
  • And every day, in the Temple and from house to house, they continued to teach and preach this message: “Jesus is the Messiah.”
  • Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!
  • And every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
  • He proclaimed his covenant—the Ten Commandments—which he commanded you to keep, and which he wrote on two stone tablets.
  • Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness.
  • I never shrank back from telling you what you needed to hear, either publicly or in your homes.
  • But as for me, I will sing about your power.
Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love.
For you have been my refuge,
a place of safety when I am in distress.
  • Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.
  • And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.
  • Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.
  • Don’t be like your ancestors who would not listen or pay attention when the earlier prophets said to them, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Turn from your evil ways, and stop all your evil practices.’
  • Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith:
Christ was revealed in a human body
    and vindicated by the Spirit.
    He was seen by angels
    and announced to the nations.
He was believed in throughout the world
and taken to heaven in glory.
  • Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it. It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.

But you may wonder, ‘How will we know whether or not a prophecy is from the Lord?’ If the prophet speaks in the Lord’s name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the Lord did not give that message. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared.
