so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. - The Lord will become king over the whole earth. When that day comes, he will be the only Lord, and his name will be the only name.
- Preach the message; be persistent in doing so, whether in season or out of season; convince, reprove, and encourage, but with great patience and instruction.
- Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood
dwells in me and I dwell in him. - Rather, be kind to one another and compassionate, and forgive one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.
- Do not be lacking in zeal, but serve the Lord with spiritual fervor.
- We have come to know
and to believe in
the love that God has for us.
God is love,
and whoever abides in love
abides in God,
and God in him. - He will never be swayed;
the righteous man will be remembered forever. - For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall also be united with him in his resurrection. We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be destroyed and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.
- Blessed be the God,
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in Christ
with every spiritual blessing in the heavens. - Until now, in my name,
you have not asked for anything.
Ask and you will receive,
so that your joy may be complete. - In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me.
