- For a thousand years in Your sight
Are like yesterday when it is past,
And like a watch in the night. - So teach us to number our days,
That we may gain a heart of wisdom. - And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us,
And establish the work of our hands for us;
Yes, establish the work of our hands. - He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.” - He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler. - If I say, “My foot slips,”
Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up. - In the multitude of my anxieties within me,
Your comforts delight my soul. - Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. - You who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of His saints;
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. - Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name! - The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. - As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us. - As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him. - But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
On those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,
To such as keep His covenant,
And to those who remember His commandments to do them. - I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. - Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples! - Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face evermore! - For He satisfies the longing soul,
And fills the hungry soul with goodness. - He sent His word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions. - I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples,
And I will sing praises to You among the nations. - Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
And Your glory above all the earth. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments.
His praise endures forever. - Praise the Lord!
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
Who delights greatly in His commandments. - A good man deals graciously and lends;
He will guide his affairs with discretion. - Surely he will never be shaken;
The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.
