- He replied, “What is impossible for mortals is possible for God.”
- When Jesus heard this, he replied, “Do not fear. Only believe, and she will be saved.”
- Jesus answered them, “Very truly, I tell you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.”
- But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”
- Jesus answered him, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.”
- They answered, “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
- He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
- He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
- Jesus answered him, “Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
- Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
- Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
- Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- He answered, “Have you not read that the one who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
- Jesus answered, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.”
- In reply he said to them, “Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise.”
- Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
- Then Peter began to speak to them: “I truly understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.”
- Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”
- Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields, for my sake and for the sake of the good news, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this age—houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and fields with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.”
- Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.”
- The angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called Son of God.”
- His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’
- Jesus answered them, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.”
- He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And just then there appeared a woman with a spirit that had crippled her for eighteen years. She was bent over and was quite unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Woman, you are set free from your ailment.” When he laid his hands on her, immediately she stood up straight and began praising God. But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had cured on the sabbath, kept saying to the crowd, “There are six days on which work ought to be done; come on those days and be cured, and not on the sabbath day.” But the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger, and lead it away to give it water? And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen long years, be set free from this bondage on the sabbath day?” When he said this, all his opponents were put to shame; and the entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things that he was doing. He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. Do not fear, for I am with you,
do not be afraid, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.Next verse! With image
