- So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.

On it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter or your male servant or your female servant, or your ox or your donkey or any of your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.

over the man who carries out evil devices! - He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High

and establish the work of our hands upon us;
yes, establish the work of our hands! - For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.
- Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you. - So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.
- In peace I will both lie down and sleep;
for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. - On God rests my salvation and my glory;
my mighty rock, my refuge is God. - I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.

- You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.
