- If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell.
- Give justice to the weak and the fatherless;
maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. - You have given me the shield of your salvation,

You gave a wide place for my steps under me,

- Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
- But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled.
- And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
- Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes;
cease to do evil. - To make an apt answer is a joy to a man,
and a word in season, how good it is! - As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.
