- If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
- Better is a little with righteousness
than great revenues without right. - Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
- Good and upright is the Lord:
therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
The meek will he guide in judgment:
and the meek will he teach his way. - He is the Rock, his work is perfect:
for all his ways are judgment:
a God of truth and without iniquity,
just and right is he. - Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
- For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.
- To do justice and judgment
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
- He that walketh uprightly,
and worketh righteousness,
and speaketh the truth in his heart.
He that backbiteth not with his tongue,
nor doeth evil to his neighbour,
nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. - Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment,
and equity; yea, every good path. - Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
- And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
- A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth:
and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! - Defend the poor and fatherless:
do justice to the afflicted and needy. - Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:
but the just shall live by his faith. - Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
- Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it. - For thou hast possessed my reins:
thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works;
and that my soul knoweth right well. - Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.
- We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.
- To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
- And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
- All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
- All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.Be still, and know that I am God:
I will be exalted among the heathen,
I will be exalted in the earth. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.Next verse! With image
