- Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
- He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doth the Lord require of thee,
but to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with thy God? - Learn to do well; seek judgment,
relieve the oppressed,
judge the fatherless,
plead for the widow. - And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.
- Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
- Shew me thy ways, O Lord;
teach me thy paths. - Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
- Treasures of wickedness profit nothing:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - Riches profit not in the day of wrath:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their cry. - In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust;
let me never be ashamed:
deliver me in thy righteousness. - But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
- Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
- Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.
- Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel.
- And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
- Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
- Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
- We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
- Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
- For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
- For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
- There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
- For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
With my soul have I desired thee in the night;
yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early:
for when thy judgments are in the earth,
the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.Pleasant words are as an honeycomb,
sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.Next verse!With image
