He is the reflection of God's glory and the exact imprint of God's very being, and he sustains all things by his powerful word. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.
They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and after twisting some thorns into a crown, they put it on his head. They put a reed in his right hand and knelt before him and mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
But even if you do suffer for doing what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear, and do not be intimidated. But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
Give justice to the weak and the orphan; maintain the right of the lowly and the destitute.Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in his sight, and give heed to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
Then Peter began to speak to them: “I truly understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.”Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
I have taught you the way of wisdom; I have led you in the paths of uprightness.I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.
Come to a sober and right mind, and sin no more; for some people have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right, and speak the truth from their heart; who do not slander with their tongue, and do no evil to their friends, nor take up a reproach against their neighbors. He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
Look at the proud! Their spirit is not right in them, but the righteous live by their faith.Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
We must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of everyone of you for one another is increasing. We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.
If we diligently observe this entire commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us, we will be in the right. And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.
Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
To make an apt answer is a joy to anyone, and a word in season, how good it is!A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are truth, and his ways are justice; and he is able to bring low those who walk in pride. Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.
The Rock, his work is perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God, without deceit, just and upright is he.He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
To the one who conquers I will give a place with me on my throne, just as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Now who will harm you if you are eager to do what is good? And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
“All things are lawful,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything. All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
Better is a little with righteousness than large income with injustice.Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.
He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
