On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”But when he heard this, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”
Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”When Jesus heard this, he replied, “Do not fear. Only believe, and she will be saved.”
And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, the Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”
Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I am going to the one who sent me.”Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”And saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news.”
After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.When he had said this, as they were watching, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.And let the one who believes in me drink. As the scripture has said, ‘Out of the believer's heart shall flow rivers of living water.’
The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.”
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”But Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we too are his offspring.’
“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.
When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.When Jesus had received the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.”But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people.”
“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”Abba, Father, for you all things are possible; remove this cup from me; yet, not what I want, but what you want.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I; send me!”
Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” Having said this, he breathed his last.
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots to divide his clothing.
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”Then he said to them all, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
“Now then,” said Joshua, “throw away the foreign gods that are among you and yield your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”He said, “Then put away the foreign gods that are among you, and incline your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”
Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.”Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus.”
Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”And he said to them, “Take care! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; for one's life does not consist in the abundance of possessions.”
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.”On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me.”
But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even look up to heaven, but was beating his breast and saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
