These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. | That they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit. |
| A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! | A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word! |

| He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. | One who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor one who loves abundance with its income. This too is futility. |
