He preserves the souls of His saints;
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
But the mouth of the wicked what is perverse. - He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
- Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful. - Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
But violence covers the mouth of the wicked. - Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.
- One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple. - What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him? - Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!
- For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
- That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ.
