Should (3/4)

In like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!
Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.
He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.”John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.”
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower.
If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise.
Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.
I will praise You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments.I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws.
Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous. Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’
If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent. In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
