Bible Verses about 'Sight'

  • For we walk by faith, not by sight.
  • And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
  • For a thousand years in your sight
    are but as yesterday when it is past,
    or as a watch in the night.
  • For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
  • And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.
  • Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
    be acceptable in your sight,
    O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
  • Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
    bind them around your neck;
    write them on the tablet of your heart.
    So you will find favor and good success
    in the sight of God and man.
  • My son, be attentive to my words;
    incline your ear to my sayings.
    Let them not escape from your sight;
    keep them within your heart.
  • The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
    because he has anointed me
    to proclaim good news to the poor.
    He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives
    and recovering of sight to the blind,
    to set at liberty those who are oppressed.
  • Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
  • Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.
  • Because you are precious in my eyes,
    and honored, and I love you,
    I give men in return for you,
    peoples in exchange for your life.
  • Oh, how abundant is your goodness,
    which you have stored up for those who fear you
    and worked for those who take refuge in you,
    in the sight of the children of mankind!
  • Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
    remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes;
    cease to do evil.
  • Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.
  • Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
  • If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.
  • Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.
  • Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
    but the Lord weighs the heart.
  • Blessed is the one
    whose transgression is forgiven,
    whose sin is covered.
  • Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.
  • The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
    The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
    the Lord loves the righteous.
  • But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.
  • Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
