- I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have being. - But I will sing of your might;
I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been a fortress for me
and a refuge in the day of my distress. - I will be glad and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. - My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have rescued. - I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples,
and I will sing praises to you among the nations. - Sing to God, sing praises to his name;
lift up a song to him who rides upon the clouds —
his name is the Lord—
be exultant before him.
Father of orphans and protector of widows
is God in his holy habitation. - Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be known in all the earth. - But I trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me. - Because I delivered the poor who cried,
and the orphan who had no helper.
The blessing of the wretched came upon me,
and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.
- About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
- The Lord, your God, is in your midst,
a warrior who gives victory;
he will rejoice over you with gladness,
he will renew you in his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing. - Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord! - For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. - And you will say in that day:
Give thanks to the Lord,
call on his name;
make known his deeds among the nations;
proclaim that his name is exalted. - God gives the desolate a home to live in;
he leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
but the rebellious live in a parched land. - Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, singing,
“To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might
forever and ever!” - Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.
- You shall be holy to me; for I the Lord am holy, and I have separated you from the other peoples to be mine.
- And though one might prevail against another, two will withstand one. A threefold cord is not quickly broken.
- And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one thing has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you; all have come to pass for you, not one of them has failed.
- For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than live in the tents of wickedness. - For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one letter, not one stroke of a letter, will pass from the law until all is accomplished.
- Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten in God's sight. But even the hairs of your head are all counted. Do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. And even the hairs of your head are all counted. So do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows.Give justice to the weak and the orphan;
maintain the right of the lowly and the destitute. Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ.Next verse!With image
