Bible Verses about 'Speaketh'

  • And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
  • The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
    but the mouth of the wicked, what is perverse.
  • You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
  • He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
    and speaks truth in his heart;
    who does not slander with his tongue
    and does no evil to his neighbor,
    nor takes up a reproach against his friend.
  • The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
  • Thus says the Lord of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another, do not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, or the poor, and let none of you devise evil against another in your heart.
  • And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.
  • As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as on us at the beginning.
  • Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.
  • I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak.
  • If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
  • Keep your tongue from evil
    and your lips from speaking deceit.

  • On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.
  • For “Whoever desires to love life
    and see good days,
    let him keep his tongue from evil
    and his lips from speaking deceit;
    let him turn away from evil and do good;
    let him seek peace and pursue it.”
  • For the customs of the peoples are vanity.
    A tree from the forest is cut down
    and worked with an axe by the hands of a craftsman.
    They decorate it with silver and gold;
    they fasten it with hammer and nails
    so that it cannot move.
    Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field,
    and they cannot speak;
    they have to be carried,
    for they cannot walk.
    Do not be afraid of them,
    for they cannot do evil,
    neither is it in them to do good.
