- Put away from yourself a perverse mouth.
Put corrupt lips far from you. - Excellent speech isn’t fitting for a fool,
much less do lying lips fit a prince. - The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver.
The heart of the wicked is of little worth. - Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.”
- But say the things which fit sound doctrine.
- By Yahweh’s word, the heavens were made:
all their army by the breath of his mouth. - But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’ Whatever is more than these is of the evil one.
- He who hides hatred has lying lips.
He who utters a slander is a fool. - “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
from doing your pleasure on my holy day,
and call the Sabbath a delight,
and the holy of Yahweh honorable,
and honor it,
not doing your own ways,
nor finding your own pleasure,
nor speaking your own words,
then you will delight yourself in Yahweh,
and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth,
and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father;”
for Yahweh’s mouth has spoken it. - For with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.
- Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. - I haven’t gone back from the commandment of his lips.
I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. - I will bless Yahweh at all times.
His praise will always be in my mouth. - But above all things, my brothers, don’t swear— not by heaven, or by the earth, or by any other oath; but let your “yes” be “yes”, and your “no”, “no”, so that you don’t fall into hypocrisy.
- In my distress I called on Yahweh,
and cried to my God.
He heard my voice out of his temple.
My cry before him came into his ears. - For no prophecy ever came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit.
- God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
- When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them and they spoke with other languages and prophesied.
- Tongues like fire appeared and were distributed to them, and one sat on each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak.
- If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.
- Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it.
- You may say in your heart, “How shall we know the word which Yahweh has not spoken?” When a prophet speaks in Yahweh’s name, if the thing doesn’t follow, nor happen, that is the thing which Yahweh has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not be afraid of him.
- Looking at them, Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
- Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh,
but those who do the truth are his delight. - Jesus, looking at them, said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”
