- For the Lord takes pleasure in his people;
he adorns the humble with salvation. - Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! - Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back.
- A fool takes no pleasure in understanding,
but only in expressing his opinion. - Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city. - You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
- The Lord redeems the life of his servants;
none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned. - I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
- The prudent sees danger and hides himself,
but the simple go on and suffer for it. - He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
and speaks truth in his heart;
who does not slander with his tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
nor takes up a reproach against his friend. - Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
- I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.
- Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. - For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Fear not,
I am the one who helps you.” - The Lord is good,
a stronghold in the day of trouble;
he knows those who take refuge in him. - When your eyes light on it, it is gone,
for suddenly it sprouts wings,
flying like an eagle toward heaven. - Do not envy a man of violence
and do not choose any of his ways,
for the devious person is an abomination to the Lord,
but the upright are in his confidence. - And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
- When you vow a vow to God, do not delay paying it, for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you vow.
- Better is the little that the righteous has
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous. - When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be liable for any other public duty. He shall be free at home one year to be happy with his wife whom he has taken.
- Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful.
- Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity
and passing over transgression
for the remnant of his inheritance?
He does not retain his anger forever,
because he delights in steadfast love.
The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous
and his ears toward their cry. If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.Next verse!With image
