- And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
- Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. - God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.
- The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
- I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you. - If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. - You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
- However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.

“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;

and proclaim that his name is exalted.” - For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
- And every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. - Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!
- I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.
- And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
- If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.
- And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.
- By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
- My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.
- This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
- This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
- See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
- This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”This is what the Lord says to Israel: “Seek me and live.”
