- What is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him? - Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.
- And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

- Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward.
- And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
- I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
- Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.

Praise the Lord! - You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
- For you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
- Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.

- Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
- So teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom. - You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!
- And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
- For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
- The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
- And you will say in that day:
“Give thanks to the Lord,
call upon his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples,
proclaim that his name is exalted.” - For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- I have stored up your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you. - That according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
- In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
- I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.
- You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.
- And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
- Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! - Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
- Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
- I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and be careful to obey my rules, and keep my Sabbaths holy that they may be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.
