- Now Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led around by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they had ended, He was hungry.

- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written: “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
- That which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit.
- If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit as well.
- But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.
- For this is what the high and exalted One
Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, says:
“I dwell in a high and holy place,
And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit
In order to revive the spirit of the lowly
And to revive the heart of the contrite.” - The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God.
- For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
- So you are to be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have singled you out from the peoples to be Mine.
- Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
- Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.
- Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
- God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
- Bless the Lord, my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name. - For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.
- So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
