Bible Verses about 'Then'

Then Jesus said to them, “I shall be with you a little while longer, and then I go to Him who sent Me.”But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”
When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? Then what will you think if you see the Son of Man ascend to heaven again?
Then you will understand righteousness and justice, Equity and every good path. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not!
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
I have made a covenant with my eyes; Why then should I look upon a young woman?I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust at a young woman.
Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.In those days when you pray, I will listen.
Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.”
Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.
So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?
If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet.
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.In this way, I will show my greatness and holiness, and I will make myself known to all the nations of the world. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.
Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment. So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.
