- Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
- “All things are lawful,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
- It does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
- Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
- “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
- God chose what is low and despised in the world, things that are not, to reduce to nothing things that are, so that no one might boast in the presence of God.
- No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.
- What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
- I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
- For he satisfies the thirsty,
and the hungry he fills with good things. - These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
- The one who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! - He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness,
and light dwells with him. - Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
- And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
- For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen.
