Things (2/4)

  • Only fear the Lord, and serve him faithfully with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.
  • But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
  • Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”
  • His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’
  • O Lord, you are my God;
    I will exalt you, I will praise your name;
    for you have done wonderful things,
    plans formed of old, faithful and sure.
  • Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
  • We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
  • Abba, Father, for you all things are possible; remove this cup from me; yet, not what I want, but what you want.
  • I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
  • Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of the Father is not in those who love the world.
  • Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
  • For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • Therefore you have no excuse, whoever you are, when you judge others; for in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.
  • By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.
  • Athletes exercise self-control in all things; they do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable one.
  • But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this freewill offering? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.
  • Those who are wise understand these things;
    those who are discerning know them.
    For the ways of the Lord are right,
    and the upright walk in them,
    but transgressors stumble in them.
  • Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
    let this be known in all the earth.
  • If any of you sin without knowing it, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, you have incurred guilt, and are subject to punishment.
  • Ever since the creation of the world his eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things he has made. So they are without excuse.
  • Now the works of the flesh are obvious: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these. I am warning you, as I warned you before: those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
  • You know that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish.
  • He is the reflection of God's glory and the exact imprint of God's very being, and he sustains all things by his powerful word. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
  • But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you.
  • But as for you, teach what is consistent with sound doctrine.

He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else?
