- Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
- “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.

To him be the glory forever! Amen. - So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
- We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.
- He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. - The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.

for in perfect faithfulness
you have done wonderful things,

- Who is wise? Let them realize these things.
Who is discerning? Let them understand.
The ways of the Lord are right;
the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them. - I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
- Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
- A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
