- He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly. - Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit. - Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. - Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down.

But those who deal truthfully are His delight. - Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him. - Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in the power of your hand to do so. - And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.
- Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
- The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. - The Lord redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned. - Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
- Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
- Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
- My times are in Your hand;
Deliver me from the hand of my enemies,
And from those who persecute me. - The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein. - For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their prayers;
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.
