- Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit. - But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- The Lord opens the eyes of the blind;
The Lord raises those who are bowed down;
The Lord loves the righteous. - Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.
- Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down.
- Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
But those who deal truthfully are His delight. - Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in the power of your hand to do so. - God sets the solitary in families;
He brings out those who are bound into prosperity;
But the rebellious dwell in a dry land. - Eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality.
- The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. - And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.
- Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
- The Lord redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned. - As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him. - The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein. - My times are in Your hand;
Deliver me from the hand of my enemies,
And from those who persecute me. - Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
- The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. - Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
- For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
- Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
