If another member of the church sins against you, go and point out the fault when the two of you are alone. A gossip goes about telling secrets, but one who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a confidence. | A talebearer reveals secrets, But he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter. |
For what the flesh desires is opposed to the Spirit, and what the Spirit desires is opposed to the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, to prevent you from doing what you want. | For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. |
