Us (3/4)

  • And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
  • In fulfillment of his own purpose he gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would become a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
  • Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
  • Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I; send me!”
  • These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
  • In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
  • For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
  • Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.
  • For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure.
  • We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another.
  • I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory about to be revealed to us.
  • He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy, through the water of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
  • Blessed be the Lord,
    who daily bears us up;
    God is our salvation. Selah
  • God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.
  • Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.
  • Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
  • He will again have compassion upon us;
    he will tread our iniquities under foot.
    You will cast all our sins
    into the depths of the sea.
  • Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
  • Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
  • So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.
    God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.
  • And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father's only son, full of grace and truth.
  • Until a spirit from on high is poured out on us,
    and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field,
    and the fruitful field is deemed a forest.
  • This is the day that the Lord has made;
    let us rejoice and be glad in it.
  • Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall through such disobedience as theirs.
  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.

For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,
‘I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles,
so that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’
