Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Wait'
- Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord. - I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope. - But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
- But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord,
I wait for God my Savior;
my God will hear me. - Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him! - Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes. - Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him. - Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws,
we wait for you;
your name and renown
are the desire of our hearts. - Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long. - In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly. - I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.” - But those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint. - Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the Lord. - And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.
- But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him. - But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
- The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”
- So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
- For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.Next verse!With image
