Bible Verses about 'War'

  • For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh.
  • Though an army should encamp against me,
    my heart shall not fear.
Though war should rise against me,
even then I will be confident.
  • You lust, and don’t have. You murder and covet, and can’t obtain. You fight and make war. You don’t have, because you don’t ask.
  • When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, neither shall he be assigned any business. He shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife whom he has taken.
  • Consider the ravens: they don’t sow, they don’t reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds!
  • Yahweh, your God, is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing.
  • Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.
  • One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
one who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city.
  • Turn my heart toward your statutes,
    not toward selfish gain.
  • Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
  • May the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all men, even as we also do toward you.
  • “If you will not listen, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to my name,” says Yahweh of Armies, “then I will send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart.”
  • Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day.
  • Glory to God in the highest,
on earth peace, good will toward men.
  • So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.
  • Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous.
His ears listen to their cry.
  • Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.
  • Also to you, Lord, belongs loving kindness,
for you reward every man according to his work.
  • I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
  • Wicked people earn deceitful wages,
but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
  • For I say through the grace that was given me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.
  • Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work.
  • Watch yourselves, that we don’t lose the things which we have accomplished, but that we receive a full reward.
  • All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
  • This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.

Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.

Bible verse of the day

In praying, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.
