- When you call out to me and come forth and pray to me, I will listen to you.
- Through the grace that God has bestowed upon me, I advise every one of you not to think of yourself too highly, but to regard yourself objectively, based on the measure of faith that God has granted.
- If you, then, despite your evil nature, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
- Do not wear yourself out in the pursuit of wealth,
and cease even to think about it. - I will not leave you orphans;
I will come to you. - So Christ, having been offered once to take away the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly waiting for him.

- They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayers.
- In everything, deal with others as you would like them to deal with you. This is the Law and the Prophets.
- Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to all those on whom his favor rests. - Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you waverers.
- For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
- For it has been granted you not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for him.
- Which one of you, intending to build a tower, would not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has sufficient funds for its completion?
- I will make haste and not delay
to observe your precepts. - Make every effort to present yourself before God as one who is worthy of his approval, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, but who imparts the word of truth without any alteration.
- And so does kindness, O Lord.
You reward each person
in accordance with his deeds. - Therefore, the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from their trials and to hold the wicked for punishment until the Day of Judgment.
- There is a way that seems right to a man,
but the end of it leads to death. - And so now, O Israel, what does the Lord, your God, require of you but to fear the Lord, your God, to walk in all of his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord, your God, with all your heart and all your soul, and to observe the commandments and the statutes that I am giving you today for your own good.
- I did not hesitate to tell you what was for your benefit as I proclaimed the word to you and taught you publicly as well as from house to house.
- Wealth and honor are from you,
you reign over all.
In your hand are power and might;
it to is in your hand make great and to give strength to all. - Now who is going to harm you if you are eager to do what is right?
- For I am not ashamed of the gospel, since it is the power of God that offers salvation to everyone who has faith—to Jews first, and then to Gentiles as well.
- Behold, I am coming soon, and I will bring with me my reward to repay everyone as his deeds deserve.
