- You shall not take advantage of any widow or fatherless child. If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry; and my wrath will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
- Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters and to be well-pleasing in all things, not contradicting, not stealing, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God, our Savior, in all things.
- That I may come to you in joy through the will of God, and together with you, find rest.
- Then, when they had fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
- The fear of Yahweh teaches wisdom.
Before honor is humility. - Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
equity and every good path. - But Yahweh said to Samuel, “Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I don’t see as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.”
- As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on me will also live because of me.
- This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
- You will show me the path of life.
In your presence is fullness of joy.
In your right hand there are pleasures forever more. - Of his own will he gave birth to us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
- It shall be, when he is guilty of one of these, he shall confess that in which he has sinned.
- Can anyone forbid these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just like us.
- Even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
- Therefore, brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble. For thus you will be richly supplied with the entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
- Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”
- Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
- For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.
- Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give.
- Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation.
- So you shall know wisdom to be to your soul.
If you have found it, then there will be a reward:
Your hope will not be cut off. - He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
- Pray like this:
‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
Let your Kingdom come.
Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’ - For we all stumble in many things. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in word is a perfect person, able to bridle the whole body also.
- He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.
