We (3/4)

We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified. We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law.
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. But our citizenship is in heaven, and from there we await our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outer self is continuing to decay, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord, our God.
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.See what love the Father has bestowed on us, enabling us to be called the children of God, and that is what we are. If the world does not recognize us, that is because it did not know him.
No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God abides in us, and his love is made complete in us.
And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.And we are witnesses to these things, as is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. This is the commandment we have received from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
In the path of your judgments, O Lord, we wait for you; your name and remembrance are the desire of our soul.As we proceed in the path of your judgments, we wait for you, O Lord; your name and your renown are all that our heart desires.
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. This is the message that we have heard from him and that we declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness at all in him.
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace when we are in need of help.
For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so too do we believe that God will bring forth with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
And it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to do all this commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us.If we are diligent in observing all of these commandments before the Lord, our God, as he commanded of us, then this will be our righteousness.
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. This is what love is: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. However, if we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all wrongdoing.
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.He made him who did not know sin to be sin for our sake, so that through him we might become the righteousness of God.
Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.By his own choice he gave us birth through the way of truth so that we may be a kind of firstfruits of all his creation.
So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. Therefore, while we have the opportunity, let us labor for the good of all, but especially for those members of the household of the faith.
For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so too, through Christ, do we receive our consolation.

Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have? Can anyone withhold the water of baptism from these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. And not only that, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we realize that suffering develops perseverance, and perseverance produces character, and character produces hope.
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. In Christ and through his blood we have redemption and the forgiveness of our sins. In accord with the riches of his grace.
Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.Although it was our afflictions that he bore, our sufferings that he endured, we thought of him as stricken, as struck down by God and afflicted.
