Bible Verses about 'We'
- If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
- And if we know that he hears us
in regard to whatever we ask him,
we may be sure
that all we ask of him will be ours. - But if we hope for what we do not yet see, then we wait for it with patience.
- If we claim that we have fellowship with him
while we continue to live in darkness,
we are lying and do not live in the truth. - What then shall we say? Should we persist in sin in order that grace may abound? Of course not! We have died to sin. How can we live in it any longer?
- For we brought nothing into this world, and we can take nothing out. If we have food and clothing, let us be content with these.
- Although we are human beings, we do not engage in battle according to human standards.
- This saying can be trusted:
If we have died with him,
we shall also live with him. - Therefore, we love because he first loved us.
- For we will become partners with Christ only if we maintain firmly until the end the confidence we originally had.
- What then? Should we sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Of course not!
- Beloved,
we are God’s children now.
What we shall be
has not yet been revealed.
However, we do know that when he appears
we shall be like him,
for we shall see him as he really is.
Everyone who has this hope in him
keeps himself pure,
just as he is pure. - For we walk by faith, not by sight.
- Beloved,
if our hearts do not condemn us,
we can approach God with confidence
and receive from him whatever we ask,
because we obey his commandments
and do whatever is pleasing to him. - For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more certain it is that, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
- This is how we can be certain
that we abide in him
and that he abides in us:
he has given us a share in his Spirit. - Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.
- And thus we can have confidence in him
that if we ask anything
that is in accordance with his will,
he hears us. - For ‘In him we live and move and have our being.’ As even your own poets have said, ‘We are all his offspring.’
- The people said to Joshua, “We will serve the Lord, our God, and obey his voice.”
- We have sinned and done what is wrong, we have acted wickedly and rebelled, we have rejected your commandments and your laws.
- We also know
that the Son of God has come
and given us understanding
so that we can know the one who is true.
And we are in the one who is true,
since we are in his Son Jesus Christ.
He is the true God and eternal life. - This is how we know what love is:
he laid down his life for us,
and we in turn must be prepared
to lay down our lives for our brethren. - Now we know that if the earthly tent in which we live is destroyed, we have a dwelling prepared for us by God, a dwelling in the heavens, not made with human hands, that will be eternal.
- And forgive us our debts
as we forgive our debtors. - Therefore, now that we have been justified by faith, we are at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Yet, O Lord, you are our Father;
we are the clay and you are our potter;
all of us are the work of your hands. - For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall also be united with him in his resurrection. We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be destroyed and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.
- Be on your guard that you do not lose what we have worked to accomplish so that you will receive your reward in full.
- Beloved,
since God loved us so much,
we should love one another. - If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.
- For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tested in every respect as we are, but without sinning.
- However, if we live in the light
as he himself is in the light,
then we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus his Son
purifies us from all sin. - But who am I, and what are your people,
that we should be able to do this?
All things belong to you,
and everything that we have given you is from your hand. - For just as in one body we have many parts, and the parts do not all have the same function, so we, though many, make up one body in Christ, and individually we are all parts of one another.
- O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us,
for we have placed our hope in you. - For we are God’s coworkers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
- The Spirit himself bears witness with our Spirit that we are children of God.
- For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for a life of good works that God had prepared for us to do.
- At the appointed time, while we were still helpless, Christ died for the ungodly.
- Therefore, we fasted and prayed to God to grant us a safe journey, and he answered our prayer.
- For us there is
one God, the Father,
from whom all things are
and for whom we exist,
and one Lord, Jesus Christ,
through whom all things are
and through whom we exist. - Restore us, O Lord of hosts;
let your face shine upon us,
and we will be saved. - In the same way, even the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs that cannot be put into words.
- For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, Jews as well as Greeks, slaves as well as free men, and we were all given the same Spirit to drink.
- What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- No, throughout all these things we are conquerors because of him who loved us.
- Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace when we are in need of help.
- For from the beginning
you have heard the message
that we should love one another. - We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law.
