- For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
- And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
- But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
- If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.
- For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh.
- It is a faithful saying:
For if we be dead with him,
we shall also live with him. - What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
- What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
- We love him, because he first loved us.
- For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
- Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
- Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
- For we walk by faith, not by sight.
- Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
- For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
- For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end.
- And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
- Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
- And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.
- For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
- Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
- And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors. - And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
- For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
- If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. For I the Lord thy God
will hold thy right hand,
saying unto thee, Fear not;
I will help thee.Next verse!With image
