- Yet, O Lord, you are our Father;
we are the clay and you are our potter;
all of us are the work of your hands. - For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall also be united with him in his resurrection. We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be destroyed and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.
- Be on your guard that you do not lose what we have worked to accomplish so that you will receive your reward in full.
- If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.
- Beloved,
since God loved us so much,
we should love one another. - For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tested in every respect as we are, but without sinning.
- However, if we live in the light
as he himself is in the light,
then we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus his Son
purifies us from all sin. - O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us,
for we have placed our hope in you. - For just as in one body we have many parts, and the parts do not all have the same function, so we, though many, make up one body in Christ, and individually we are all parts of one another.
- But who am I, and what are your people,
that we should be able to do this?
All things belong to you,
and everything that we have given you is from your hand. - For we are God’s coworkers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
- The Spirit himself bears witness with our Spirit that we are children of God.
- In the same way, even the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs that cannot be put into words.
- Therefore, we fasted and prayed to God to grant us a safe journey, and he answered our prayer.
- At the appointed time, while we were still helpless, Christ died for the ungodly.
- For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for a life of good works that God had prepared for us to do.
- Restore us, O Lord of hosts;
let your face shine upon us,
and we will be saved. - For us there is
one God, the Father,
from whom all things are
and for whom we exist,
and one Lord, Jesus Christ,
through whom all things are
and through whom we exist. - No, throughout all these things we are conquerors because of him who loved us.
- For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, Jews as well as Greeks, slaves as well as free men, and we were all given the same Spirit to drink.
- What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- For from the beginning
you have heard the message
that we should love one another. - We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law.
- As we proceed in the path of your judgments,
we wait for you, O Lord;
your name and your renown
are all that our heart desires. - This is the message
that we have heard from him
and that we declare to you:
God is light,
and there is no darkness at all in him.
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace when we are in need of help.Do you suppose that I cannot appeal to my Father for help and he will not immediately send me more than twelve legions of angels? Everyone who hears these words of mine and acts in accordance with them will be like a wise man who constructed his house on a rock foundation.Next verse!With image
