Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.The lips of the righteous know what finds favor, but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?” For it is not wise to ask such questions.
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?As goods increase, so do those who consume them. And what benefit are they to the owners except to feast their eyes on them?
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
